hi Ian
thanks for the welcome.
Im just starting out on my professional journey as a photog.
Im 52, so a little late but better late than never as they say.
Ive only recently joined Photographers Direct and found this forum as a result of that.
I have sold 1 postcard and that was through Red Bubble but I know thats because my previous pics were not worth buying!
Ive recently been on a photography course and have practised practised practised as well as read until my eyes refuse to read no more!
Im now using Lightroom 3 beta and have Photoshop 4 or 5?
Im getting pretty good with LR using and understanding most of the functions but still very much at the just opening files and resizing in PS.
I shoot (for free) for a local magazine and have had 4 pics published. Getting my name out there! The mag is delivered free to about 200,000 homes.
Ive had 3 works exibited in a gallery! OK so it was a gallery of studants work from the photo school i attended but it was viewed by top photogs writers newspaper folk and local bigwigs.
thats about it I think?
Look forward to getting to know some of the members here and picking up a few tips.
