Our next C3 Photography group event will be a photographic walk in Macclesfield Forest. This will be led by group member Di Seddon (a.k.a. Osdog).

I've been looking at walks around Macc Forest... link to map above.

We can park at the Trentabank site, and choose our walk from there - walks range from 2 to 5 miles or so, and the going is moderate. Some steep gradients, unsuitable for pushchairs. Walking boots or shoes recommended.

Bring a picnic and a drink - although there is an information centre at the car park, and toilets, there is nothing on the way round.

A decision on route length will be made on the day, dependent on the weather.

Suggest we meet about 10.00am

Bring a long lens - and flash - the forest can have low light because of the canopy - wide angle lens useful for when the countryside opens out before you.
