Updated Site

Hi all,

After several days working on my site, I've arrived to a point were I feel more comfortable sharing it. It is still very much a work in progress, but I think it is usable enough to start being useful.

The whole refurbishing happened after I learned somewhere in the net that there was module for my gallery that made it shake hands with an e-commerce script. This is how it goes:

I installed Gallery 2, and after much frustration with the cart options it comes with, I discovered there is a Gallery 2/Zen Cart integration module, that allows Gallery 2 to interact with Zen Cart 1.2.7 (not the newest version).

Finally, I signed up to another 2CheckOut account so I could charge using credit cards without a merchant account and this is the result:

Humberto Olarte Cupas - Photography

As stated, it is a work in progress, so comments are welcome. Also, do not try to place an order unless you actually want the picture, since the site is live :)

Thanks in advance for all your comments,

Looks good, Humberto--very thorough. I like the pop-up captions.

I also just set up a web site, and it too is a work in progress.

For the time being, I plan to use it purely for marketing via emailing the link to buyers at appropriate publications. I have no capability for selling prints, and for licensing purposes am referring viewers to lightboxes on Alamy.

I went for functionality and ease in viewing images quickly, and it does not have a typical photography web site look.

Kindly check it out and let me know what you think.

Thanks Andre and Bill!

Bill I went to your site and I have to say it does allow for quick and easy viewing of the images. I like it.

About selling, I greatly recommend 2checkout (http://www.2checkout.com) as it allows you to sell with or without a shopping cart script. People choose whatever on your site and when they are going to pay, they get transfered to 2checkout's site, where they enter their details.

After your account gets to the level of money you set, they send you a check or a wire transfer, according to your settings. Very convenient.

Cheers,
